Taiyo commenced full-fledged CMO operations in 1998, securing contracts from major innovator pharmaceutical companies at a time when the outsourcing model was still relatively new to Japan's pharmaceutical industry.
Taiyo's CMO business utilizes the company's extensive technical capabilities in manufacturing a diverse range of generic drugs in its state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities. The CMO has built a strong reputation based on the company's passion and commitment to always achieving the highest possible quality of its manufactured products. At present, the CMO serves 56 major domestic and international innovators, with CMO contracts covering 215 product items. Including Taiyo's own original products, the company manufactures approximately 740 product items. The manufacturing technology needed to produce such a diverse range of products is unrivaled in Japan.
