Story

An elementary school student wishes to buy flowers to take to his mother, who is in hospital, however he doesn't have enough pocketmoney to buy them. So he draws a picture of a red flower that he saw in the florist shop and takes it to the hospital to give to his mother. He and his mother have a nice time together briefly, but then visiting hours draw to a close. We see the child who has to go home, and the mother, who stands at the entrance of her room to see him off. What kinds of thoughts are in their minds? ----- "Somewhere there is someone hoping a loved one will get better. That's what motivates Taiyo, that's what Taiyo cares most about".

Taiyo Pharmaceutical Industry Commercial song "Umui"

The artist who sings "Umui," Ji ma ma, comes from Naha, Okinawa. In July, 2002, her indie debut maxi-single "Kakera" and its independent presence on the charts became a hot topic in Japan, especially in Kyoto and Okinawa. In June, 2005, Ji ma ma released her fourth single entitled, "Deigo/Gekka Bijin". The single was a smash hit in Okinawa and caused a sensation when it was featured in a "Zuisen Yellow" Ryukyu Awamori rice brandy commercial where it was performed by Ji ma ma. Ji ma ma finely weaves everyday feelings and the sounds of nature into her lyrics and melodies, which are soft and sweet like a calm sea. Even though her songs are distinctly melancholy, an undercurrent of strength permeates her voice and the expressive power of her songs, making her a very appealing singer-songwriter.

The Taiyo Pharmaceutical Industry commercial song "Umui" will be recorded on a compilation album, which was released on February 4.

An official decision was made to commence general sales of a compilation album that features 14 fresh songs by Okinawa-based female vocalists, including "Umui" by Ji ma ma, on April 2 (Wed). The album is entitled "Okinawan Life-sized Music Baikaji Biyori."
